Biography

Stephanie Hobbs represents unions and institutional clients from a wide range of sectors at grievance arbitrations and before administrative tribunals, including the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.

Stephanie has significant experience in Ontario Labour Relations Board advocacy, representing trade unions as they fight for the rights of working people in all manner of proceedings, including certification applications, unfair labour practice complaints, related employer applications, and construction industry grievances. Clients depend on Stephanie to provide them with strategic advice and training with respect to bargaining issues, contract interpretation, occupational health and safety, workplace harassment, discrimination and duty to accommodate issues.

In addition to her skills in a hearing room, Stephanie works collaboratively with clients to arrive at practical negotiated resolutions wherever possible, often achieving outcomes that could not have been obtained through a formal litigation process.

Stephanie is committed to inclusive mentorship and lawyer development and she serves as Chair of the firm’s Associate Committee. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2009 after articling with the firm. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers.
