Summer Students
Positions in our Toronto office:
Our Toronto office hires several second-year law students to work from May through August. Summer students perform very similar work to articling students.
We generally follow the 2L recruitment guidelines of the Law Society of Ontario. However, we do not participate in on-campus interviews.
We will accept applications through the viLawPortal until July 22, when the vilawPortal will deactivate all Toronto summer 2025 postings.
** However, as we do not participate in the on-campus interviews, we will accept applications for Summer 2025 employment until September 6, 2024. Any application submitted after July 22nd should be submitted to labourlaw@goldblattpartners.com, as the viLawPortal will deactivate all Toronto 2025 summer postings regardless of the application deadline.
Please do not send your application to both the viLawPortal and the labourlaw email address.
All applications must include:
- a cover letter;
- a résumé;
- copies of all law school and university transcripts (official transcripts are not required); and
- a list of courses you are enrolled in, or plan to take, in 2nd year and a list of the courses you hope to take in 3rd year.
Applicants may also wish to include reference letters in their application. If a referee wishes to send a letter directly to the firm, they may email it to: labourlaw@goldblattpartners.com.
For more information about the summer program, please contact Vanessa Payne.
