Daniel Sheppard will discuss the role of privilege referees in the examination of electronic devices, including how they are appointed, their duties and powers, and practical considerations for the crown, police and privilege holders when working with them. This presentation is part of the Crown Summer School “Internet Child Exploitation and Cybercrime” Course. Organized by the Ministry of the Attorney General and the Ontario Crown Attorneys Association, Crown school is the annual training program for crown prosecutors and police officers.
