Biography
Lucas Da Silva is an associate in the construction labour relations group. Lucas assists construction industry trade unions with all aspects of union organizing and litigation.
Lucas’s background in history and acute sense of chronology makes him particularly adept at navigating complex files with moving parts. Lucas brings a range of experience representing trade unions, individuals, and other public entities before administrative tribunals, boards of arbitration, the Courts, and even public inquiries.
Fluent in Portuguese, Lucas completed his J.D. at Queen’s University. During law school, he served as a caseworker at the Queen’s Family Law Clinic, where he provided legal services to members of the Kingston community in family, parenting, and child support disputes. He also completed the Public International Law program at the Bader International Study Centre located in Herstmonceux Castle, East Sussex, UK (with First Class Honours). Lucas is also an alumnus of the University of Toronto’s Victoria College, where he studied history and political science with High Distinction.
In his spare time, Lucas loves reading history, playing soccer, and watching his beloved FC Porto and Portuguese national team (although the World and Euro Cups can be a stressful time for him).
