Biography
Aidan Bullen supports the work of construction trade unions as an associate in the construction labour relations group. Aidan assists construction trade unions in proceedings before the Ontario Labour Relations Board and private arbitration. These include certification proceedings as well as protecting and enforcing hard-won bargaining rights.
Growing up in a family of teachers, construction tradespeople, and labour activists, Aidan has been immersed in stories of collective action and the power of unions from a young age. These stories are what pulled Aidan away from his background in science and to seek a legal education to serve unions in their fight for workplace justice. Aidan utilizes his analytical background from his science education to dissect and understand complex legal issues.
Aidan joined the firm following his articles at the firm. Aidan received his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School. At Osgoode, Aidan worked with the Centre for Equality Rights in Accommodation through ProBono Students Canada, where he supported the organization with legal research. Aidan also completed a placement at Parkdale Community Legal Services (PCLS) in the Workers’ Rights Division. At PCLS Aidan helped workers with a myriad of issues, including wage theft, wrongful dismissal, and discrimination through both legal claims and community action. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from McMaster University.
Outside of work, Aidan enjoys playing basketball and soccer, cheering on the Raptors, and watching films from around the world.
