Ikram Handulle

Lawyer

Biography

Ikram Handulle (she/her) is a dedicated advocate for workers, driven by a deep commitment to advancing justice and dismantling the status quo. She approaches each case with compassion and creativity, building trust with her clients and grievors.

As a lawyer representing trade unions across the public sector, she provides practical guidance before grievance arbitrators, the Human Rights Tribunal, the Labour Relations Board, and the courts. Her practice is shaped by her personal and professional ethos: that the law should be used as a tool not only to address individual injustices but also to challenge the systemic barriers that perpetuate inequity.

Years of advocating for refugee rights and working with marginalized communities taught Ikram to find clarity in complex situations and to always fight for the principle of the matter. Now, she uses these skills to break down complicated labour disputes and craft persuasive arguments that resonate with arbitrators and tribunals. Her knack for blending compassion with strategic insight ensures that her clients’ stories are not just told but understood,

Before coming to Goldblatt Partners, Ikram obtained her J.D.  from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, graduating with distinction in the top 10% of her class. During law school, Ikram spent 8 months working at Downtown Legal Services’ Immigration and Refugee Division, where she championed the rights of refugees and migrant care workers in a challenging legal landscape. This experience ignited a fire within her to fight alongside those facing systemic barriers.

Outside the office, you’ll find Ikram hiking scenic trails, savouring her favourite coffee blends, or enjoying copious amounts of reality TV.
