Emma Pritchard

Lawyer

Biography

Emma Pritchard (she/her) represents unions in the public and the private sectors, working in both English and French. As a true libra, Emma is diplomatic and able to understand all sides of a conflict, while firmly defending her clients’ rights and values. With a background in theatre, she is a strong oral advocate and a firm believer in the power of language.

While obtaining her BCL/JD from McGill Law School, Emma’s work at the Legal Information Clinic gave her first-hand knowledge of a variety of barriers to access to justice. She became particularly interested in labour law while serving as a union steward in her workplace. As a queer person, she cares about community activism – both in the legal field, and by listening to lots of queer music artists!

Outside of work, Emma’s ideal day includes a long run in nature, cooking a vegetarian meal, exploring a new city, or curling up with a good cup of coffee and a book.
