Congratulations to Simran Prihar – 2025 SABA Diversity Award Winner!

e are thrilled to announce that Simran Prihar has been named the South Asian Bar Association of Toronto’s (SABA) 2025 recipient of the Diversity Award. Simran received the award at SABA’s annual gala on June 26, 2025.
The SABA Diversity Award recognizes an individual or organization that has demonstrated exemplary commitment to the promotion and recognition of diversity in the legal profession.
Since her call to the bar in 2009, Simran has developed an active litigation practice in the areas of labour, human rights, and pay equity law, representing unions in a wide range of workplace disputes and in collective bargaining. In addition to her impressive legal work, Simran has long been a leader in promoting equity within the profession. She is an active member of Goldblatt Partners’ Diversity and Inclusion, Students, and Steering Committees, and is deeply committed to mentoring and supporting junior members of the firm, particularly racialized students and associates. Simran has also made significant contributions to the equity initiatives of the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers, an organization of more than 800 lawyers who represent the labour movement across Canada.
