Biography
Jane Zhang is a labour lawyer in our Toronto office. Tenacious and capable, she is committed to providing the highest quality of representation to unions and workers.
After joining the workforce at an early age, Jane developed a strong sense of social justice and pursued law to speak reason to power. Since becoming a lawyer, Jane has helped workers get reinstated from terminations, obtain long-term disability benefits and accommodations, address workplace harassment and discrimination, and enforce contractually-bargained rights in grievance arbitration. Jane has also appeared before the Grievance Settlement Board, the Human Rights Tribunal, and the Superior Court.
Prior to joining the firm, Jane worked in-house at two trade unions and at a boutique labour firm. She has represented teachers, nurses, education support workers, flight attendants, administrative staff, and other private sector employees.
Jane was called to the Ontario bar in 2018. She holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science degree (Honours) from Queen’s University. She speaks Mandarin and conversational Cantonese.
Outside of the office, Jane enjoys reading whodunit novels, visiting museums and gardens around the world, and spending time with her family.
