Shrybman: Whose rights are protected by trade agreements?

Steven Shrybman will discuss how international trade and investment agreements, including the TPP and CETA, restrict governments’ ability to protect the rights of their citizens and promote a sustainable development agenda.”Whose rights are we protecting?” will examine who really benefits from these agreements.

This event was organized by the Canadian Council for International Co-operation (which includes the Africa-Canada Forum, Americas Policy Group and Asia-Pacific Working Group of CCIC, Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, Common Frontiers, Council of Canadians, Inter Pares, School of International Development and Global Studies, and the Trade Justice Network).
