May 15, 2022

Our Toronto office is looking to build our Aboriginal law practice

The lawyers in our Aboriginal law and Indigenous rights practice group work with Indigenous governments and individuals to advance and protect their Indigenous and treaty rights, and to build space for greater self-determination. The practice includes litigation at all levels of court and before administrative tribunals, as well as engagement processes and negotiations with governments and proponents.

We invite applications from lawyers called to the Ontario bar with between one and three years’ experience, to join our Aboriginal law practice group.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A record of academic excellence
  • Strong analytic, research and writing skills
  • A demonstrated interest in and familiarity with Indigenous rights, Aboriginal law and constitutional law
  • Availability to travel for work with Indigenous clients across Canada

Litigation experience will be considered an asset.  French language competency will be considered an asset.

This is a contract position for a term of one year, with the possibility of extension. Goldblatt Partners is committed to a culture of diversity and inclusion. We encourage members of Indigenous, equity-seeking and racialized communities to apply.

Please apply by sending a cover letter, resume, law school transcripts and a writing sample to the attention of Jessica Orkin.
