We bid adieu to two colleagues
This month, we bid adieu to two wonderful colleagues who have decided to take different paths in their careers.
Sarah Rostom summered with the firm several years ago and returned as a labour law associate after clerking with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Sarah has decided to join London-based human rights lawyer and workplace investigator Mihad Fahmy to focus her practice on workplace investigations.
We are going to miss Sarah and her contributions to the firm, as well as her consistently direct, engaging and empathetic approach with colleagues, staff, clients and grievors alike. These qualities will no doubt propel Sarah forward in her new role. We wish her every success and look forward to crossing paths socially and having opportunities to work with her again.
Darryl Korrel joined our Ottawa office in the summer of 2018. In addition to practicing labour and employment law, he also worked with our Aboriginal law group and edited many of the posts in our blog, Unsolicited. He combines patience and compassion with strong advocacy skills and a great work ethic.
Darryl is moving to Calgary where he plans to establish his own law practice. While Darryl will be sorely missed, we will continue to work together on several ongoing files and definitely plan to catch up with him in the months to come whenever we visit the beautiful Canadian Rockies.
Good luck Sarah and Darryl, we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!
