On June 5, 2013, the Rideau Institute presented its Leadership Award to Steven Shrybman for his work in promoting democracy, sovereignty and environmental protection.
The Rideau Institute is a non-profit organization that conducts research and provides analysis to decision makers, opinion leaders, and the public on defence, trade, diplomatic, security and environmental issues.
