Law Students! Our Ottawa office is hiring for Summer 2025
If you are a second-year law student with an interest in union-side labour law, this may be the place for you!
Our Ottawa office is looking for two law students to work from May to August 2025. Summer students perform very similar work to articling students. They also have a role in researching and updating certain chapters of the book “Trade Union Law in Canada”.
Applications will only be accepted from students who are currently in their second year of law school.
Applications for the summer position will open on December 6, 2024 and close on January 16, 2025.
Interested applicants should apply via the ViLaw Portal. Applicants should include a cover letter, résumé, writing sample, university and law school transcripts (including results from the Fall term, if available) and may also include written references. Preference will be given to students who have taken at least one course in labour law, labour arbitration or an equivalent course.
We will attempt to contact students who are selected for an interview by February 7, 2025. Interviews will be held at the Ottawa office or virtually between February 18, 2025 and February 27, 2025. The successful applicant will be contacted on Friday, February 28, 2025 with an offer of summer employment.
