Bill 148 and the Changing Workplaces Review
What changes are coming to Ontario’s labour and employment laws? If passed, Bill 148 – the Fair Workplaces and Better Jobs Act, 2017 – will extensively amend the Labour Relations Act, 1995 and the Employment Standards Act, 2000. In this summary and analysis, Dan Sheppard compares the provisions of Bill 148 with the recommendations made in the final report of the Changing Workplaces Review.
